CHS 1 Hike - Cutthroat Lake & Pass

This hike is offered as part of the North Cascades Campout weekend. CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph). Cutthroat Pass from Rainy Pass and probably a little beyond to get our August thresholds.

Leaving from the Goodell campground shortly before 8am, arriving at the Rainy Pass trailhead about 45 minutes later.

This is a quite good trail with an average four percent grade. A few stream crossings that should have fairly low flows by mid-August. We'll continue a fairly level mile north along more of the PCT to a nice lunch spot for the group to get our twelve August hiking miles.
