CHS 1 Hike - Coldwater Peak, Harry's Ridge & Pumice Plain

CHS1 hike led at pace 1.5-2.0 mph. We'll explore the varied volcanic landscape on the north side of Mount St. Helens by hiking the Boundary Trail to Harry's Ridge and Coldwater Peak.

We’ll meet at the Star Lake P&R in Kent/Federal Way at 6:00 a.m. and consolidate cars for the 3-hour drive to the trailhead. The hike involves a car drop, so bring your patience as we work through the logistics. It’s paved road all the way to the trailhead, so please consider driving if you haven’t in a while. Drivers will require a Northwest Forest Pass or equivalent.
