
Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series
CHS 1 Hike - Ancient Lake
Travel through desert, past basalt walls, and around the lakes, at the end of which is a waterfall, a rare feature in a desert. Enjoy wildflowers and interesting geology just to the east of the Columbia River near Vantage along the way. CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph)

We'll meet at the Tibbetts Valley Skatepark Parking lot at 7:30; condense down to as few cars as reasonable and drive 2.5hrs to the Ancient Lakes Lower Trailhead west of Quincy. We should be back in Issaquah before 6:00pm; unless we stop to eat.
It's a long drive, about 154 miles, but worth the effort. Please be prepared to reimburse your driver at $0.10 - $0.15 per rider per mile, $15.40 - $23.10. Carpooling etiquette can be found here.
More information will be provided via a "Hello Hiker" email to be sent about 5 days before to the hike. If you require information prior the the email feel free to contact the hike leaders.
