Plan to meet at 7am in Bellingham off exit 255 (Hwy 542) to then drive another hour to the trailhead at milepost 41. Limited parking, thus the early start. Cell service drops about milepost 19 just east of Deming, so we'll group at little earlier to make sure we're all together. No carpooling unless you belong to the same household per Mountaineers protocols at this time. Privy at the trailhead.
Scouted 3/4 of the trail on 6/25 before hitting a foot of snow at the 4400 foot level. It should be melted out by the hike date. This trail climbs 900 feet/mile but has good footing. Your heart will get a good workout. Over three miles is under canopy to keep you out of the direct sun.
