Seattle Basic Climbing Refresher Clinic - Crevasse Rescue - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

Meet in the basement of the Seattle program center at 6:30PM, or as soon as your commute will allow.

We may practice outside, weather permitting.

The Seattle Basic Refresher Clinics offer Basic Alpine Climbing graduates, and non-Mountaineer members with equivalent training and experience, the opportunity to review the skills and techniques they learned in the course.  Cost per clinic: $0

This  Seattle Basic Refresher Clinic - Crevasse Rescue - covers the rescue systems used to extract a climber who has fallen into a crevasse while on a Basic glacier climb with two or more rope teams.

Skills to be practiced:

• Knots used on glacier climbs
• Prusiking up a climbing rope
• Pulley rescue systems
• Safe setup and execution of a rescue system
