Meet at the group site at Eight Mile Campground in Leavenworth, Washington.

Details will be announced in class.

This field trip will be your first opportunity to actually lead a climb! You will start out either practicing mock leading or jump right into a lead role. Students will lead at least two routes by end of the trip.

  • 2 personal anchors
  • 6 24 inch alpine slings with 2 wire gate biners per sling
  • 3 locking biners
  • auto blocking belay device, ei petzle reverso, BD ATC Guide, mega jel
  • nut tool
  • 20 feet cordalette, 6M nylon, 5M tech cord or spectra
