  • Climbing helmet
  • Rock climbing shoes
  • Harness
  • 1 personal anchor (Metolius) + locking carabiner
  • 6 single alpine slings
  • 2 double alpine slings
  • 1 triple alpine sling
  • 18 standard-sized non-locking carabiners (2 per sling)
  • 6 locking carabiners (in addition to the one in #4)
  • One set of standard-sized cams
  • One cam each matching the following Black Diamond sizes: .3, .4, .5, .75, 1, 2, 3
  • 7 carabiners – one for each cam
  • Do not need to be full sized
  • Getting carabiners that match the color of your cams will be helpful
  • One set of nuts
  • 1 carabiner to rack the nuts
  • Nut tool
  • 20’ cordelette - 5mm tech cord
  • 2 rolls of climbing/gym tape
  • Hollow block (Sterling) – either 13.5” or 19”
  • Small daypack to carry water, food and insulation on climbs
