  • Adults
  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

6pm to 9pm outside the Program Center, in the center green of the South Plaza.

This workshop will be about:

  • Going through the multipitch sequence as a follower.
  • How to throw a rope for rappel when there's a lot of grabby rocks (i.e. not just a clean vertical drop)
  • How to clean trad gear placements, and rack gear
  • Some basic of crack climbing on the basalt columns

We'll do two short bolted pitches on the South Wall, and go through the motions of multipitch rope management while scrambling up the boulder field.  We'll also use the boulder field for experience cleaning trad gear, and experience throwing rappel ropes & straightening them out.
