5:30 PM Meetup at Mercer Island Park and Ride
6 PM at Mount Si trailhead
Priority given to Intense Basic students until April 30. After that, anyone can join.
Leader will set a pace of 2 hours to the top. Your goal is to stay ahead of her. This can count as your conditioner requirement for the Intense Basic course.

Required Equipment
- 10 Essentials (headlamp is critical)
- NW Forest Pass or equivalent (if driving)
- 2 liters of water for drinking
- 15-25% of your body weight in your pack (use discretion. Heavier is better for actually preparing you for climbs, however only 15% in under 2 hours is required. Use gallon water jugs so you can dump the water out and save your knees on the way down)
- Mountaineering boots - now is the time to break them in!
