This trip is specifically designed for participants of the Glacier Travel Course. Basic Climbing Students are also welcome. 

This is the final fitness calibration for the class. Students will carry 40 lbs packs; you are ready to climb glaciers, if you can make it to the base of the Haystack in under 2 hours.

Anyone taking much longer will not be allowed on climbs yet since you won't have the endurance to actually summit.
