9 am at the base of the trailhead; carpooling recommended

This trip is specifically designed for participants of the Glacier Travel Course. Basic Climbing Students are also welcome. We will carry packs up to 40 lbs to prepare in terms of conditioning for upcoming glacier climbs. Conditioning hikes are optional activities but participation is highly recommended.

 

For this trip, we'll start with a normal day pack (no extra weight), moderate speed. The goal is to summit in good time at a moderate pace that could be maintained for a long time and see how long it takes us.
