Meet on Cable Line Trailhead on SE 79th St, just off I-90 Exit 20. Don't go up through the gate to the upper parking lot.
Boots on the trail at 5 pm all ready to depart.
Open to all.
It will definitely be dark, probably wet, so headlamp is a hard requirement. Dress in layers for the weather, and have appropriate footwear.
Our goal is to get to make steady progress to West Tiger #3 summit in an hour or less, ideally without rest stops. We'll tag the top, and shoot for a steady descent of about 45 minutes.
Feel free to carry some training weight, but exercise good judgement. It's not an evaluation, so it's perfectly fine to leave the heavy pack behind if you haven't been hiking or carrying weight in a while, or especially if you haven't done this trail before. It's way better to go light and keep up than vice versa.
Required Equipment
10 E plus optional weight.
