Meet at Little Si parking lot 5:30 pm, to be headed upwards by 5:45. Discover Pass required.
Open to all Basic Climbing students, but if it gets full then the pecking order goes like this: McCarthy SIG, Foothills students, Seattle Basic students, other branches. Have a headlamp as we will be descending in the dark.
This will be an opportunity for McCarthy SIG members to pass the fitness requirement.
Course materials say: "Climbing Conditioning Benchmark: At a minimum, be able to hike with a full day pack (greater of 25 pounds or 20% of body weight) up the Mt. Si trail (4 miles, 3400' gain) in under 2:00"
Wear mountaineering boots. Packs will be weighed before heading up.
