This is one of several conditioning hikes that will be scheduled for the Angulo/Metz SIG. If, by this time, you feel you are conditioned and ready to take on the bigger alpine adventures that will be a part of the Basic Alpine Course, feel free to bring a fully weighted pack (25 pounds or 20% of your body weight). Participants will have the opportunity to use this hike to determine if they meet the conditioning requirements necessary for many of the climbs that will be listed throughout the climbing season.
If you feel you still need some extra time to meet the conditioning requirements, please come anyway. I assure you the sunset is no less enjoyable for those carrying a light pack.
