This  is  one of several conditioning hikes that will be scheduled for the Angulo/Metz SIG.  As this  hike is one of the earlier conditioners we have scheduled,  we will be focusing on establishing a two hour  trailhead to summit pace.  This is, by many, the accepted pace (with a weighted pack) considered to meet the minimum conditioning requirements needed for alpine climbs we will enjoy  as the season progresses.  Ultimately  we will work toward  maintaining this pace with a pack weighing 25 pounds or  20% of your body weight (whichever is greater).  Depending on your level of conditioning at the time of this hike please feel free to  pack some additional weight in your pack  to begin to  prepare yourself to meet the  two hour requirement with weighted pack. A fully weighted pack will not be required on this hike. Our overall focus will be on establishing a consistent pace.
