This is designed to be our SIG's initial conditioning hike and will be focused on establishing a steady moderate pace. Depending on trail conditions we will likely make it from the parking lot to the summit in about 2 1/2 hours.  This  is largely designed for us to get to know the members of our SIG.  If you have already been doing a fair amount of conditioning feel free to bring some extra weight in your pack. However, the focus of this conditioner will not be to push ourselves to the extreme.
