Meet at 7:00 AM at the Summit West Parking Lot. This session runs until 4:00 PM.
Basic Field Trip #4 - Snow Travel, Ice Ax and Crampon Skills. You will learn to:
- Travel on snow safely.
- Use your ice ax.
- Use your crampons.
- Descend by glissading,
- Hold a simulated crevasse fall, build and transition from holding the fallen climber, to building & connecting to a snow anchor (aka, escape the belay).
