Basic Field Trip #4 - Rock Evaluations including belays, rappels, climbing, and anchors. Make up session for students who had to miss the rock evals or who received a 'needs improvement' verdict on the rock evals.

We aim to be done by 9pm.

Climbing, Belaying, & Rappelling, ... on the climbing walls.

  • Climb 3 or more top-rope routes on the south plaza climbing wall, 
  • Tope rope belay on South wall
  • Rappelling, safe rappel rigging, and connecting into an anchor.
  • Top rope belay, belaying a leader, and belay tie-off.
  • Low anchor rappel, & alternate rappel method (3 locking carabiners).

  • 120cm sewn nylon sling,
  • 2’ prusik loop (hero loop).
