This field trip will focus on teaching basic climbing class students the basics of snow travel, glissading, ice ax arrest, roped travel, snow anchors, winter camping, and expectations for an alpine start. Instructors will also be evaluating the fitness of the students - whether it is suitable for basic climbs.
