After returning to the Mountaineers Lodge at Stevens Pass for the night before this Field Trip, we will plan to be geared up and ready to go in the morning by 8:00 a.m.
Meeting time: 8:00 a.m. at Stevens Pass Ski Area
This will be a full day of rolling around in the snow, having fun while being safe! We will cover snow travel on technical terrain, and what to do if you fall.
You will learn and practice these skills:
- Ascending and descending on steep snow
- Ice axe self-arrest
- Glissading

Required Equipment
10 essentials, mountaineering boots, ice axe, and helmet.
