Evening indoor workshop to practice steep snow travel techniques, avalanche awareness, leave no trace outdoor skills.

This evening workshop focuses on snow travel and low impact recreation. There are three sections in this workshop, a presentation on Low Impact Recreation (Leave no Trace) principals, a presentation on avalanche awareness and how to safety travel in potential avalanche  terrain, and a hands on exercise introducing ice axe arrest.

Please bring your ice axe and helmet. We will be rolling around on the floor practicing, please dress appropriately.  

This workshop starts promptly at 6:30 and runs until approximately 9:00
