Rock & Snow Field Trip (Saturday & Sunday) - Dirty Harry's Peak, Balcony & East Balcony
Day 1 of 2 for a full weekend of back-to-back field trips to learn and practice rock and snow travel techniques. Leader, location and details to be updated before March. Registration for Saturday, will assume Sunday's attendance as well.

This will be a full weekend with two days to learn and practice rock and snow travel techniques.
During the Snow Field Trip, you will learn and practice these snow travel skills:
- Ascending and descending on steep snow
- Crampon use
- Ice axe self-arrest
- Glissading
During the Rock Field Trip, you will learn and practice these rock travel skills:
- Climbing and down-climbing fairly steep rocks faces and slabs.
- Traveling in boulder fields, talus and scree.
- Protected down-climb techniques
