This evening workshop is an introduction to the scramble course and a small group discussion on some of the gear needed for scrambling. The workshop has three parts.
First we will explain what exactly scrambling is and cover some logistics for the course.Next we will split into small groups for a hands on discussion of the gear needed for scrambling. A lot of this gear is common to hiking and backpacking, but we also add in some more technical equipment such as helmets and ice axes! The instructors will bring their scramble packs for show and tell, and you are welcome to bring any gear you have questions about. The final part of the evening will be a hands on knots exercise.
The workshop starts promptly at 6:30 and runs until approximately 9:00.
