7pm at Ascent Outdoors in Ballard

In an effort to offer options for a make-up for our Gear Workshop; we will be creating a space for those originally registered for the February 11th event to cover: an introduction to the scramble course and gear discussion with our instructors and leaders to get an up-close look at the gear needed for scrambling.

The workshop has two parts.

First we will explain what exactly scrambling is and cover some logistics for the course.  Next we will break out for a hands-on exploration and discussion of the gear needed for scrambling. A lot of this gear is common to hiking and backpacking, but we also add in some more technical equipment such as helmets, boots and ice axes!

The instructors will bring their scramble packs for show and tell, and you are welcome to bring any gear you have questions about.

The workshop starts promptly at 7pm.  Once done with the workshop portion, you will be free to take advantage of the gear for purchase at discounted prices that Ascent Outdoors is offering for our course.
