More details about this Field Trip will be forthcoming in an email a week/few days prior to the activity.  NOTE, however, that this will not be the day hike described above, but a different route to the same summit involving an off-trail scramble with brush/forest travel, snow travel, rockfall travel, and snow and rock scrambling.

Meeting place and time: Travelers Rest (WSDOT Restroom Facility, Snoqualmie Pass); 7:30 a.m.

This all day field trip takes place at Silver Peak, located southwest of Snoqualmie Pass and the Snoqualmie Summit ski area.

Here you will learn and practice the skills taught at the earlier field trips as part of a real live scramble trip up to the summit of one of the many peaks in the area. There is always plenty of snow and rock to practice your steep snow, self-arrest, glissading, rock scrambling, and navigation skills.
