Family Volunteer Lake Party
Family hiking, adventure, and outreach volunteers and their families are invited to come play with a variety of human-propelled boats, swim, and enjoy a potluck on Ken Lake. You are welcome to bring your own boats as well! Some surprises for our dedicated volunteers may be in store!

BYOB - Bring your own boat! .....or use one of ours---a canoe, two inflatable kayaks, two hard sided river kayaks, and an Achilles raft. We will have the nice Mountaineers life jackets for kids and adults, or bring your own. Parents will be in charge of monitoring safety of kids. Ken Lake is a warm and very swimmable lake if you don't mind a muddy bottom. In the event of rain, there is a covered porch and the boats still work!
Our resident bluegill are fun for kids to catch and release, with a net or pole.
Meats and vegetarian entre options will be provided and a hot grill. Seasonal fruit cobbler or pie with ice cream will be provided as well. Please bring a side dish and your favorite beverages.
