Tami Asars- The Wonderland Trail

Join author, professional outdoor photographer, Tami Asars as she discusses her book Hiking
the Wonderland Trail. Through a visual presentation, Asars will introduce you to Mount Rainier's
Wonderland Trail and some of it's tricky logistics, such as securing a permit, seasonal weather
woes, and wilderness camping suggestions. A slideshow full of engaging photos will help you
get prepared and excited for your own adventure along the route. Whether you plan to
challenge yourself to a backpacking trip or simply want to see some pictures from Mount
Rainier's stunning backcountry, we hope to see you there!

Who: All members and anyone interested in learning more about the Mountaineers are welcome. Free!

 What: The Monthly Meet the Mountaineers Adventure Speaker Presentation and Potluck. Bring a dish to share, your own plate and flatware. No paper tossing at our potlucks! Or just come to hear the Speaker at 7pm- your choice!

 Where: Friends Meeting House, 3201 Boston Harbor Road. (From I-5, Plum Street, head north, left side, next to Priest Point Park)

 When: The first Wednesday of the Month, September to May (excluding November), at 6:00 PM for a shared potluck and socializing hour, followed by an Outdoor Adventure Presentation at 7:00 PM

 Why: Meet your fellow Mountaineers, share ideas, learn about others’ escapades and adventures, and connect with our great community of outdoor enthusiasts. (Librarian Maxine Dunkelman will have a selection of books available for checkout to Mountaineer Club members. Contact her at maxdunk@comcast.net if you have special requests.)
