A birding workshop in Olympia's continuing "Talk and Walk" series of clinics

2 Field trips TBA

Many Birds change throughout the seasons- Spring and Summer birding can be a busy time for the Birding Naturalist.  Join Seattle Naturalist and Mountaineer member Thomas Bancroft for a 2 hour workshop/lecture, then a join us on a local Field Trip to learn more.   Thomas has been a birder all his life and has a PH.d in Ornithology.  He in the past he has served as Chief Scientist for National Audobon, and since coming to the PNW has just finished a 6 year appointment to Washington Audobon's Board.  He is an active Seattle Mountaineer naturalist field trip leader and teaches frequently for the Washington Ornithological Society.

Prepare to take notes in the Lecture.  Phone Apps will be recommended to aid in your field observations.  Binoculars are always helpful on the field trips.
