6:00 - 9:00 PM - - - - - This seminar is for you if you are a new or prospective hike leader or you have not lead a hike in a while and feel unfamiliar with the new website functions.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

Join us for an evening seminar that will walk you through leading a Mountaineer hike from start to finish!  We will discuss all aspects of leading your hike and topics will include:  route selection, listing your hike on the Mountaineers website, screening participants, communicating with participants, what to cover at the trailhead, group dynamics and management, ending your day, and closing your activity on the website.

Join us for an evening session that will cover all the basics of leading a hike!  There will be a "start to finish" approach, scenario reviews and more!

You will learn the details of how to handle setting up a hike, screening your participants, communicating with the group, group dynamics and management, dealing with difficult situations, and how to close out your activity.
