An all virtual 16 hour Wilderness First Aid Class through a new provider, Base Medical. This will qualify for Scrambling and Climbing students graduation requirement for First Aid. First preference will go to Olympia students needing the course to graduate.

The Mountaineers is partnering with Base Medical to offer a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course.  This iteration of WFA is a fully remote course consisting of approximately 8 hours of online work including an online final exam.  The online course work must be completed prior to the live online practical session.  The final exam must be completed and passed with a score of 80% or higher within seven days of completing the practical portion of the course. 

Course Details

  • You will receive an email with a link to the online course work. Online course work must be complete prior to the practical session on May 2.
  • The live online practical session of this course will be held via Zoom from 8 AM to 5 PM on May 2.  More information about the practical course will be sent via email closer to the course date. 
  • The online final exam must be completed (80% to pass) by May 7.

This is a pilot course and registration will be prioritized for Mountaineers First Aid Committee volunteers. Registration will open to all Mountaineers members and the public on [date].
