We will meet at Haggen Food and Drug located at 1313 Cooper Point Rd SW, Olympia at 7:30 a.m. We will meet in the large parking lot in front of the store on the lefthand side (when facing the storefront). Look for cars with the back hatch opened over by the trees.
We will be carpooling to our Saw Practice site in the Olympic National Forest a little over an hour's drive from Olympia. Our site is the LaBar HorseCamp where a few danger trees have recently been fallen. Drivers are needed. The road is mostly paved with 1.5 miles of gravel, suitable for most vehicles.
At the worksite we will review the required Talegate Safety Checklist and our Crosscut Saw Logout Safety Checklist. We'll break into teams and begin sawing.
We will stop for a short lunch break and continue at the practice site until around 1:00 PM, clean and pack up the tools and return to Olympia at approximately 2:30.
