Hard snow and crampon Clinic - Mount Rainier Lower Nisqually Glacier
This one day Clinic involves traveling on a glacier. We will seek Hard Snow and Low Angle Ice on which to practice ice axe and crampon technique. It expands upon what is taught in Basic Climbing and provides opportunity for additional practice. Successful completion will earn participant a Crampon Skill badge.

We'll walk onto the Nisqually Glacier out of Paradise on Mt Rainier. Familiarity with roped travel on a glacier is required. We'll search for an area to practice Ice Axe techniques, roped travel and Crampon techniques. This is a day trip lasting from about 8:00am to 3:00pm depending upon conditions.
