Cross Country Skate Camp

Learn how to Skate Ski or improve! Each day costs $70 (including lunch), even though the course course price says it's free.

Learn to glide over the snow while cross country ski skating on 13 miles of groomed trails.  You can take one or two days of instruction; each day is $70. Each Day there will be 2 hours of class before lunch (provided by Meany) and 1 hour after lunch. The rest of the day can be used to enjoy being out. There will be 2 instructors each day.  The class will be split into two groups according to ability. This course does not include overnight stay at Meany Lodge.

In the evening  Carry  Porter and Nick Brown will recount their  recent 400+km nordic ski trip from Russia to Sweden with a slide show.

 Fred Chapman  and Nick or Carry will lead you over hill and dale as you learn to skate.  This is a recreational class.  No badges are awarded.

Class is limited to 16 participants.

Course Requirements

This course has no scheduled activities.

Required Equipment

Skate skis, poles and boots! Plus a daypack to store water bottle and snacks.  Bring things needed for overnight stay, sleeping bag, indoor shoes or slippers, towel lodge clothes and personal items in a back pack. Your overnight items will be taken to the Lodge in the snow cat.
