This is our first summer work party of the year.

Come spend Saturday working on the campus and Sunday playing: hiking or biking.  Likely jobs include pick up fallen branches from around the campus to reduce fire hazard, splitting wood,  pruning branches on the trails and ski hill, greasing the rope tows, and starting maintenance on the snow cats.

The plan:

  • We'll start at the Lodge at 9 am on Saturday and run through 4pm on Sunday.
  • Drive as far up the road to the Lodge as possible.  If snow blocks us we will ferry gear in on tracked ATVs and attendees will walk in.  Download the directions before leaving the highway, as there is no cell coverage once you leave the I90 corridor.  Here are the summer driving directions to Meany Lodge.
  • Spend Saturday on work party projects, and Sunday having fun.
  • Please bring equipment to support your preferred form of Sunday fun: bikes and helmets or hiking boots
  • Meany Lodge itself will be closed - only the bathrooms will be open.   We ask that only the cooks and their helpers be inside the Lodge during the day.

  • Meals will be served outside or in the Zoo - our  vehicle maintenance garage.

  • Hot meals and food will be provided by Meany Lodge.
  • Most guests will be camping in tents on the property -- we have lots of nice tent locations!  Please bring your own tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads.

We are working with the Safety Committee and the health department to determine if it is permissible for fully vaccinated individuals to sleep inside one of the shared dorms inside the Lodge with the windows open.  Updates will be posted here as we learn more.

Families are welcome.  We just ask that one adult in the family participates in the work party.  The other adult can tend to the children.

Meany Lodge will be practicing COVID-19 safety precautions.

Help keep everyone safe from COVID.  All participants are expected to have and wear a mask for the tow in and out, when inside, or whenever gathered in a group.  Participants are expected to keep their distance from people outside their quarantine pod.  Anyone feeling sick is asked to stay home.
