Lecture - Private Residence

Lecture covering necessary equipment, important safety guidelines such as hypothermia, tides and currents, weather for kayakers, group dynamics, ergonomics and avoiding injuries, and principles of basic conservation. Trip planning, charts, and navigation will also be covered.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

Meeting 9AM at 9560 Moran Road NE

Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.
Bring clothing for being both in and out doors where we will be covering equipment and possibly ergonomics.
Bring a lunch, snacks and hydrating fluids as there is a good chance we will be moving to different locations during the day.
Plan on bringing all your kayaking gear, kayaks etc as we will be fitting individuals in kayaks.  

Bring clothing for being in the water as there is a good chance we will be in the water during a portion of the day.  Please remember to bring a towel and protective foot wear for being in the water.
