0800 at the parking area across from Royal Columns. We will adjust and set carpools the week prior.

Field trip to teach and practice climbing skills to prepare students to confidently lead  single and multi-pitch trad climbs. We will work thru leading on bolts, single pitch trad and multi-pitch climbing including block leads and swinging leads.

We will focus on mock-trad leading at this field trip. Participants on top-rope and setting/clipping protection in a controlled environment.

Harness, helmet and climbing shoes. 

Quick draws and/or alpine draws as appropriate for the location and route.

Bring the protection you already own. You can try out cams and chocks provided by the instructors to see which types you prefer.
