Intermediate Glacier Travel
Intermediate Glacier Travel and Winter Mountaineering module includes climbing in winter conditions, emergency shelters, outdoor living in winter. All students choose the Zoom introductory lecture and 1 of the 2 field trip options.

Prerequisites: AIARE Level I course.

Badges you will earn:
This course has no scheduled activities.
10 Essentials for the field trip.
Winter-rated climbing and camping gear - sleeping bag, multiple pairs of gloves.
Beacon, probe, shovel.
Crampons. Flotation - snowshoes or skis - we will all use the same method.
2 pickets with lanyard/draw in addition to glacier climbing gear appropriate to the field trip location. We will review this in the classroom.
