Intermediate Glacier Travel Field Trip - Mount Rainier Lower Nisqually Glacier

Glacier travel and winter mountaineering overnight trip at Mount Rainier. Emergency shelters, glacier travel, crevasse rescue and avalanche safety.

Longmire at 0830 for check-in and registration with the park. Gate to Paradise should open at 0900 and we will want to be on the road immediately after.

Covid-19 precautions will be in effect. This likely means your own tent. We will build one snow cave so we all have done it. Weather has to be "good enough" to do the trip so we will adjust schedule as necessary.
