Crevasse Rescue Ground School - Kitsap Memorial State Park

This FT provides instruction on the basics of crevasse rescue in a non-snow setting in preparation for subsequent use in a snow/glacier environment.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

FT begins at 8:00 AM at Kitsap Memorial State Park.

Students will learn and demonstrate crevasse rescue techniques in a grass field setting in preparation for use on snow/glacier for Snow 2.

Locking and non-locking carabiners


Prusiks (chest and foot)

Appropriate Clothing including rain gear (grass will likely be wet)
