Demonstrate your physical conditioning and test footwear. Students carry a 20 pound back pack and complete the 2000 ft altitude gain in 2 hours or less.

Meet at Mt. Walker trailhead at 9 AM
Directions drive 5 miles south of Quilcene on US Highway 101. Turn east onto Mt. Walker Viewpoint Road. Drive a short .25 mile to the trailhead. Pullover parking is on the left side of the road. Trail begins on the right side of the road.
Required Equipment
Students are to dress appropriately and carry appropriate equipment designated by instructor. Students are to wear supportive hiking boots for scrambling.
Pack will be weighed before starting
