Bring ten essentials, ice axe, crampons, snow shoes, and shovel if you have one. Bear canister is required and is obtainable from Kitsap or at the Ranger Station at Longmire. National Park permit is required. Bring enough fuel to melt snow for food and hydration. If possible lighten weight by sharing resources.
Students and instructors will bring ten essential, appropriate equipment, and any other designated equipment. Instructors will need to be able to dig some emergency snow shelters so bring shovels and if possible snow saw and plenty of extra gloves. Bring equipment to demonstrate snow pit analysis.
