From Mountain Passes to Lowland Forests and the magnificent Pacific Coastline, the Olympic National Park has it all. Join Mountaineers backpack leader Brian Talbert as he shares three very different trips within the park. The Ozette Triangle trail (9.5 miles, 2 nights, start/end Ozette Ranger Station) will introduce you to the coastline and some ancient petroglyphs. The Enchanted Valley trail (21 miles, 2 nights, start/end Graves Creek Trailhead) will take you deep into the beautiful lowland forests where the bears are plentiful. And finally, the Grand Wolf Loop (45 miles, 3 nights, start/end at Deer Park) will have you visiting lakes, rivers, and traversing Grand Pass, Cameron Pass, Lost Pass and Wolf Pass with epic views and more than 14,000' of total elevation gain.
The presentation will include not only Brian's stunning photos of the journey but also maps, logistics tips and other planning information to help you plan these adventures yourself!
Beginning two days before the event we will email the instructions and link to join via zoom. You must get a ticket on eventbrite at the link below to receive the zoom details to log in.
You can get a ticket for free, but if you have appreciated all of our efforts to keep your outdoor dreams alive during the Covid-19 pandemic and on into the future, we'd love it if you'd purchase a $10 or $20 ticket which will go entirely to our non-profit volunteer-led hiking and backpacking programs. We look forward to seeing you there!
