This clinic is designed for graduates of the Staying Found course interested in practicing their navigation skills on an actual hike. We will be do several of the on-trail exercises from the class. Everyone will have a chance to lead a different section of the trail. Don't worry if you're rusty or still struggling to understand the concepts - that's what this hike is for. I anticipate hiking at about a 1.5-mile-per-hour pace, with stops along the way to discuss the exercises.
PLEASE NOTE: If the forecast calls for significant rain, I will reschedule.
HOMEWORK QUESTION: We will be hiking 5 miles at roughly a 1.5-mile an hour pace. I anticipate we will leave the trailhead at 10:15 a.m. Add one hour for lunch and navigation activities. About what time should we arrive back at the trailhead?
