Get outside and on the trail with your fellow graduate alumni and leaders from the Foothills GoHike: Beginning Hiking Series! GoHike is working to continue to provide opportunities for beginner hikers or those who are looking for easy to moderate hiking opportunities outside of our annual GoHike Course season.

It is important that participants look at the stated hike description, distance, pace, elevation gain and consider your current fitness level in determining if this hike is a good fit for you. If you have any questions, please contact the trip leader in advance. A leader may look at your profile and recent activities to ensure that they think you are ready for their hike. They may email or call you to ask you about your hiking history and conditioning activities. Some leaders may be using Leader Permission Required. you will need to request their permission to register and follow their instructions for applying. Failure to do that may result in you not being allowed to reegister for the trip.

Priority registration is given to GoHike: Beginning Hiking Series graduate Alumni Course members. Graduate alumni will need to hold a GoHike Badge and have registered for the GoHike: Beginning Hiking Series - Alumni Course.

If there are any unfilled spots on this hike, the hike will open up on the Wednesday before the week of the hike to general members, with leaders permission, for Mountaineers members interested in a beginning hiking experience.

We'll run a car pool/caravan out of Ashway P&R.

Meet up:
Meet at the Rosario Beach near the bathrooms. Meeting at the trailhead parking lot by 8:30AM geared up and ready to hike.
 
Do not follow the directions on WTA website. 
 
Follow the directions below:
From I-5 in Mount Vernon, take exit 230 for Hwy 20, signed Burlington/Anacortes. If you are northbound, stay in the left lane and turn left onto Hwy 20 west. Continue on Hwy 20 for 11.4 miles, then turn left at the intersection with spur 20 to Anacortes; your turn will be signed Whidbey Island/Deception Pass. In 5 miles, turn right onto Rosario Road, at the south end of Pass Lake. Next, take a left on Cougar Gap Road. Then take a left on Rosario Beach Road. Follow that down to the parking lot.
