  • Mileage: 4.5 mi

Meet at 7:00 AM in the Chirico Trailhead parking area. There are no parking passes required at this parking area.

For this GoHike series hike, we will tackle the challenging and rewarding Chirico Trail to Poo Poo Point. If weather permits the views at the top will be stunning! This hike is an out and back hike with all the elevation gain coming on the way to the top and then losing all the elevation on the way back down. We will target a pace of 1.5 to 2 miles per hour, a good challenging pace for this elevation gain, and will adjust based on the group so we all stay together. The trail is well maintained and is primarily made of stone steps and dirt footpath to the top, the trail is narrow so we will be single file the majority of the time. There are porta potties at the parking are and a pit toilet at top of PooPoo Point.
