DESCRIPTION:This hike will explore Northern State Recreation Area\, a Skag
 it County Park. There is no ghost town\, but it is the old site of the Nor
 thern State Mental Hospital farm\, which closed in 1973. We have been told
  that the recently reclaimed meadow will be in peak wildflower bloom.
