March GoHike Pacing Hikes: 2 to 4 miles, 0 to 750 feet of elevation gain - Tiger Mountain Lowlands

This hike is intended to help you and the GoHike team determine what pace and challenge level you want to start with in the series.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)
  • Mileage: 2.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 200 ft

Meet at 9AM at the High Point/Tradition Lake Trailhead, ready to hike!  You should probably arrive by 8:40 or so to put on boots, rain pants if needed, use the restroom, adjust layers, and to make sure there is parking for you. If the lot is full, there is plenty of parking on the frontage road adjacent to I-90, but you'll have to walk into the parking lot, so be prepared.

The Mountaineers do not recommend carpooling at this time.

This is a flat and easy walk by a lake and an abandoned bus in the forest. Lots of opportunity to take photos.

We will follow The Mountaineers phase 2 Covid-19 protocols and every participant will be asked to agree to the Covid-19 Code of Conduct in order to register.
