We will meet at 9:30 am sharp at the trailhead, which is directly next to a cemetery. Currently, hikers are being asked to hike in one direction only due to Covid, and I don't know which way that is until we get there. We will either be going right or left at the junction. Either way, it's a gorgeous hike with lots of views!

There are two ways to get there:

Option 1: No Ferry

From where I live in Lake Forest park it takes about 1 hour 45 min to 2 hours without taking the ferry.

Option 2: Ferry and then drive from Clinton to Ebey's Landing

Take the Mukilteo/Clinton Ferry: 8 am departure. This is a 20 min crossing.

From Clinton you will then drive to Ebey's Landing which is about 35 minutes.

Remember, as you come close to arriving, you turn left onto Sherman Road and continue until you reach a right turn for Cook Road. Drive to the end of Cook Road to the Prairie Overlook trailhead, located directly across from a cemetery. We are not meeting in the lot down at the water as it tends to be very crowded.

We will begin at the parking lot next to the Cemetery, and make a lollipop loop walking along the bluff and down to the beach and back up to the parking lot.  Beautiful views! - Discover Pass Required!

Required Equipment

This is a bluff and beach hike. So for half of it, it'll be on compact dirt and gravel with some sand, then on the beach it will be lots of little rocks and sand. Be sure to wear comfortable and stable footwear and poles if you need them. Hiking on a beach is a little harder on the calves!

In addition to your 10 essentials, please bring a hat, sunblock and sunglasses as there is no cover on this hike. So if you are sensitive to being exposed, please keep that mind.

I'd bring at least 32 oz of water, possibly more if you tend to drink a lot. This is approximately 5.5 miles, so keeping hydrated is essential!
