There isn't a trailhead parking lot, just parking along the road that only has room for about 4 vehicles. Ideally, I'd like us to take no more than 3 cars to the trailhead.

This is an out and back hike through beautiful moss-covered forest. Trail elevation entails ups and downs, with some flat portions. We will have to cross a concrete road after about a mile in to re-connect with the trail to our destination. Some of the trail has a narrow footpath with a drop off, but then widens out in places. There are not views, but if we all agree and are able, when destination is reached, we can go ahead another .3 miles to a peak-a-boo lookout.

Trail is in good condition, with 4 larger logs to step over (easy to navigate) and 3 wooden foot bridges over very shallow water. Trail has some loose gravel, but mostly some rocks and roots, which can be very slippery when wet.

There is varying details on mileage and elevation gain depending on the website you look at, but when I did this hike it came out to be 4 miles with about 400 elevation gain. There is always a margin of error with varying GPS devices, so this is averaged out. Expect this hike to take about 2-2.5 hours with a few stops.

There is no privy at trailhead, so we will have to use the portable at the P&R before heading out. Trailhead parking pass not required.
