Enjoy an easy, evening, 2.5 mile hike through the protected wooded landscape of the Kirkland Watershed Park, a hidden gem near downtown Kirkland. The park is a 76 acre watershed preserve offering a well maintained main trail that is wide with gentle slopes.  For this hike, we'll be completing 2 loops of the established trail, and just under ~250 feet of elevation gain, to get our 2.5 miles. We will target a pace of 2 miles per hour and can adjust based on the group.

Parking is limited to a small neighborhood street parking loop, so this hike has less available participant slots to ensure we all can get parking. The location and distance will ensure that we are back to our cars with time to make it home in time for a late dinner.

This hike is one of my favorites near downtown Kirkland, especially on hot busy summer evenings, where this park offers respite from the downtown crowds and a shady forested path to walk through.
